Could getting this done cause early labour?

Hi, I'm 8 and a half months pregnant, and I wanna have a pap smear done soooooooo bad! But my friend says it's not a good idea, that I should wait until after the baby is born, as it can cause early labor. Well, can I get a pap smear done while I'm pregnant or not?
