Second pregnancy baby dropped?

This is my second pregnancy and I am roughly 34-35 weeks. I noticed that I had dropped or "lightened" yesterday. I never dropped with my first until I was at the hospital in labor. I am sure baby dropped because I can see toes again, my boobs don't sit on my belly anymore, I can breath, sit, sleep and eat so much easier. It feels like I am 6 months pregnant again! My question is does this mean anything to how soon labor will come? I've only read that for subsequent pregnancies dropping doesn't normally happen except right before labor. Anyone have similar second pregnancy experience and if so what was the outcome ?
