Why do they protest ants? What is wrong with ants?

Is it because of that verse in the Old Testament that tells people "be thou as the ant"? Since ants routinely lift 20 times their own weight and work hard all day, is it because some sects of Christianity are really lazy and don't want to do that much hard labor? Are they hoping to get that verse removed from the Bible?
