Allen Head bolt Anti-theft?

I am currently building up a bike with (in my opinion) expensive quill stem and handlebars. I sometimes need to park it outside. I am currently experimenting with different adhesives in the head of the allen bolts to deter theft. I've heard people using epoxy with a ball bearing, but acetone to remove the epoxy makes me nervous with painted surfaces around. Bathroom Caulk seems to be rather easy to remove. Mountain bike or Road Bike?

I have a road bike (for what I do I should have purchased a road touring bike instead) and I like it when riding on good roads. I have an older mountain bike and sometimes if the road is going to be a little rough or partly unpaved I like to take it instead. Here is my question: is there some combination or compromise bike that would have less weight than a regular mountain bike yet wider tires than a touring bike? Or, on the other hand, a touring bike that is sturdy and can take tires of a width somewhere between a mountain bike and my 25mm road bike tires? Hope I explained this well enough. BTW, I slightly prefer the handlebars with "drops", but I can live with flat bars just fine.

Second pregnancy baby dropped?

This is my second pregnancy and I am roughly 34-35 weeks. I noticed that I had dropped or "lightened" yesterday. I never dropped with my first until I was at the hospital in labor. Wanting to switch from a hybrid bike to a road bike, just have a question?

The wheels are too small to roll over any type of rock or log, plus they have no suspension to absorb any bumps so you are going to feel everything. P0734 is a code for incorrect 4th gear ratio. When the trans controller senses a disagreement between the input/output shaft speed ratio it wants for the gear it has selected and what it's seeing it sets this. If this condition is detected three times the trans locks to 3rd gear limp home mode assuming there is a serious internal problem and 3rd gear is intentionally designed to be the running gear with minimal control functionality so you can get home with most failures present. When it's in limp home it will accelerate like a dog because it's starting in a high gear and will wind out at speed without upshifting to 4th. Basically you're driving a car with one gear. There is an overdrive switch in the system but it's the switch on the shifter to deselect overdrive (4th gear) when going up grades so the trans won't hunt gears too much. If that switch fails it will only prevent 4th gear if it shorts or won't block 4th gear if it's open. There is no overdrive sensor. There is a kick down switch but it's part of the trans. If one of the shaft speed sensors was acting up you'd have a different code for it in most cases. Almost all causes of shaft speed mismatch are an internal mechanical problem, probably a burnt clutch, or an internal electrical problem with the solenoid valves. It is very unlikely there is some cheap external quick fix for what it sounds like yours is doing. Sorry but I'd be back at the clown you bought it from pronto. It sounds like you have an internal hydraulic or clutch problem that is aggravated by temperature as the fluid and components heat up. The chance of this happening without their prior knowledge is next to zero under the conditions you've stated. Sorry but pretty much any of the incorrect ratio codes are bad news.

im 35 weeks with my second and had 2 cups of it so far, the taste is vile and put me off drinking any more to be honest. sugar helps but its still not nice for me personally. my midwife said its safe to take from 34 weeks as it can take around a month to start working, it doesnt induce labour at all it just helps strengthen your womb to make contractions stronger/more efficient thought to shorten the second stage of labour. i dont know if it works as i never had any with my first, but anything is worth a try. you can buy them in tablet form too if you dislike the taste.

My Yamaha virago 84',700cc, the cluth won't disengage the gears.?

I took the side cover off to work on the starter gears, that went well, but now the clutch won't allow the bike to free well unless I Foot shift it into neutral. I have gone through (several times) the adjustment process. Just touch the push-rod, back up 1/4 turn then tighten. Then left 1/4" travel at the handlebar lever. It feels like it is operating perfectly except the wheel won't turn free. The balls in the clutch push mechanism are also in their proper positions,detents. It has fresh oil in case also. Help. These gas prices are creepin up!

Can you ride your bike with no handlebars?

In theory you could. A unicycle operates with no handlebars. So you could try to lean to one side or the other to turn. It would probably be difficult though since the front wheel can turn independent of the back, and if you locked it so it couldn't, you wouldn't be able to turn very fast because of the increased size of the minimum turn radius (one point of contact versus two separated ones makes a huge difference in how fast you can turn). How do I kill a raccoon? I don't enjoy making animals suffering but they are very aggressive, I've been bite once a year back and they bother my dogs and birds not to mention they have actually made their way into the inside of my house by opening the screen door. They do have rabies and I fear for my family and friends. I have 2 plans so far. 1 is making a spear from ply wood and my old hunting knife and stabbing the animal. They usually hang onto of my back porch since we have a small vineyard overhead. If it falls down I'll finish it off quickly by smashing it's head in with my baseball bat. 2 is mixing some food with strong rat poison I bought a bit back. Either way they must go. If you have any suggestions please share them unless you an animal rights activist. Technically speaking we humans are animals and I'm just protecting my species.�

How worried should I be?

What could cause my bottom bracket to click while peddling and if I pedal hard it slips. The chain is tight enough and straight and it's not the pedals clicking. The tires are new. Kenda tires with Dura-Ace rims. It has an 8 speed Dura-Ace Down Tube Shifters. The gears are Dura-Ace along with the brakes and pedals. The handle bars are Cinelli. Most of the stuff replaced is used, however not the tires and handlebars. I want to know if it was a good purchase and didn't get ripped off.

Bike handlebar installation help?

I tried replacing my handlebars, but realized once I tried putting the new one on I had no clue what I was doing. It's a threaded quill stem with a wedge, and when I put it in it doesn't hook onto anything, it just spins. There is a screw at the very bottom of the tube you put the stem in, but the wedge doesn't reach that far. Anyone shed some light on this please?

Adding insult to injury, a Muslim woman who lives two doors down (someone I defended once) also took offense. I had unprotected sex at the beginning of June, during or a day after ovulation. I'm usually on a 28 to 29 day cycle so when I was scheduled to start on June 21, nothing happened. I need to know if my husbands job is allowed to take away labor hours?

my husband works for a car care company. The manager recently told him that when he cant get a customer to agree to the work needed to fix there car, he will cut the labor time it calls for so that he can get the sale. Bulging hand vein.. Please answer?

My left hand has this one vein tht will bulge more than all the others. It looks worse than my right hand veins! And its not even the whole vein it kinda bulges more in the middle then thins out almost like theres a lump from appearance but there is not bc it is soft.... Hey, I cut 3/4th inch off each end of my handlebars, and if you've done this before, you know you can't get them exactly the same. But one side looks longer than the other. I looked at the bars directly under a light so lighting angle effect doesn't give it the illusions of different length(?). So one side is obviously longer than the other... how can I fix this? to shift up on the front derailleurs, you push the brake level to the side on the left handlebar, and to shift down you hit the button on the side of the hood, which is right where your thumb rests. For the rear derailleur, it's the opposite. The problem with that is when I'm in my drops, I have to lean to the left and reach up over the top of the right handlebars to shift up, which is uncomftortable, and I think it messes with my aerodynamics because I slow down a bit when I do it, if theres a way to switch it and someone could tell me that would be great, But if not, no big deal because I'm thinking about upgrading to a nicer and lighter bike soon.

Old Firestone Speed Cruiser II Bike - Sell as-is? or Part out?

I have an old Firestone Speed Cruiser II women's bike. Circa 1960's? All original stock parts. It has quite a bit of rust on the rims & frame etc. The chrome handlebars are fairly rust free & the fenders could be polished up nicely as there isn't too much rust on them either. The chain is rusty but could be restored with a couple hours work & some soaking. There is the Firestone emblem/badge, the Bendix rear hub, kick stand, the tires are also original Firestone tires, holding air, but cracks on the sides. I don't have the expertise, time or money to restore it myself, but I could take it apart & sell each piece or should I just sell it as-is to someone who wants to restore it? What do ya think?

Is my Blazer's Fuel Pump Bad?

It is a 2001 Chevy Blazer LS with the 4.3l v6. We were driving down the road and it quit on us. it is not the alternator because i had that tested. i was told to replace the distributor cap and rotor so i did that. i got it to start and it idles really rough. when you step on the gas the car dies. the fuel pump sounded really labored when it would prime the system. then the fuel pump stopped working and it would not start. 3 days later the fuel pump did kick on but sounded labored and again rough idle and would die when stepping on the gas. then the pump stopped working again. is this the sign of a bad fuel pump?

It could be, or you could have a bladder/kidney infection, or it could be that you pulled a muscle.. It's ALWAYS better to go in and get checked anytime your pregnant. Take some tylenol, try a warm bath and if you are still in a lot of pain I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to go in. Call a family member or friend, call a cab if you have to. If you are in preterm labor the hospital can give you medication to try to stop it. If is something else, (like a bladder infection) they would more than likely treat that with antibiotics. 41 weeks and 2 days pregnant, why does my doctor want to see me again?

Ok so I have had no signs of labor except the loss of my mucus plug which the rest of it came out yesterday, i ended up going to the hospital to see my doctor for it because i was concerned about the color.. it was a kinda yellowish green but he said it was perfectly normal. He ended up keeping me on the machine that monitors the babys heart rate and the moms contractions? im not sure of the actual name of it.. anyways, the babys heart rate was perfectly fine but i was still not having any contractions, so he ended up sending me home, which i was fine with. Today I had my regular prenatal appointment with the same doctor, he checked to see if i was dilated but apparently nothing has changed (im not dilated), and i told him i still had no signs of contractions. he told me he wants to see me first thing tomorrow morning at the hospital so he can monitor my contractions!?? i was just on the machine yesterday, i told him i still didnt have any contractions today, why would it be any different tomorrow?? He didn't mention inducing me or anything but could that be the case?? if it is why wouldnt he tell me? im just kinda scared and it seems stupid to want to bring me there to only monitor the contractions im not even having... im not sure what to expect, any ideas?

We are looking to buy a new air conditioning unit, with everything included. We want the outdoor unit, and the coil, and whatever else comes for the inside as well.
